Burna Boy Odogwu Music Video
Burna Boy Odogwu: Grammy Award Nominee and music heavyweight, Burna Boy premieres the video to his recent single titled “Odogwu”.
“Odogwu” means strong man or mighty man in the Igbo Culture and the music star picks this title to depicts his position and achievements in the music Industry.
The song is his second official single for the year, after “Money Play” around January. The track was produced by the amazing Kel-P. The video was directed by TG Omori.
The video is a colourful mesh of simplistic narration. It depicts great details about the Igbo Culture and their attires (consisting of the Ishi- Agu and the revered red caps) for which the Igbo Chiefs are known for and their values.
The video opens with an all too familiar Igbo cultural music interlude, leading Burna Boy into a little acknowledgement dance after which the video makes a complete switch to an Afro-Urban-Contemporary style.
The visuals sees the artiste being crowned and adorned with royal attire and beads of honour.
The artiste wanted to show the height of warm welcome he received when he visited the Igbo Land and this video bares it all.
