Roger Mayweather Dead: Popularly known as “Black Mamba”, Roger Mayweather, one of the best boxing trainers the world has seen, is dead. Roger was an Uncle to Floyd Mayweather jr, former World Boxing Champion.

Roger Mayweather won both the WBA 130 pound title and the WBC 140 pound belt. A tough fighter, Mayweather faced such big names as: Julio Cesar Chavez, Pernell Whitaker, Freddie Pendleton, Rocky Lockridge, Harold Brazier, Terrence Ali, Rafael Pineda, Livingstone Bramble, Vinnie Pazienza and Kostya Tszyu.

The particular cause of death isn’t known but Rogers’ health has been declining for years. Floyd opened up about Roger’s health back in 2015 and blamed boxing for damaging his brain.

“My uncle Roger Mayweather has lost a lot of memory from the sport of boxing, he’s only in his 50s, but it seems like he’s an old man in his 80s.”

Roger was a vital part of Floyd’s team and he helped shape his nephew’s boxing career. He was present for most of Floyd’s fight and Floyd feels saddened by his demise.

Roger’s death came a week after Floyd’s ex girlfriend and mother to three of his children, Josie Harris was found dead in her car. There are so many unanswered questions as regards her death and Mayweather jr isn’t taking this lightly.

Our heartfelt condolences goes to Roger Mayweather’s family, friends and colleagues and also to Floyd.

Rest In Peace Champion!
