Loven Emerges Winner Of Access The Stars: Loven Charles has emerged ultimate winner for the maiden edition of Access The Stars Competition with a prize of 150 million naira.
Following a series of exciting regional auditions, rigorous training at Bootcamp and the suspense-filled judges’ stage shows, Loven has finally emerged winner of the first edition of Access The Stars.
The announcement was made at the show’s first of its kind, e-Finale on April 11, 2020.
Access The Stars is a new music reality talent hunt to discover and grow new stars and the 24 year old emerged winner after a 4-week highly competitive contest that saw good performances by many of the contestants.
Loven smiles home with a grand price of N150 million, a brand new car, and a music recording contract.
The first and second runners up – ‘Kitay’ and ‘Firefly’, were also awarded consolation prizes .
Charles was declared winner, after scaling through numerous elimination hurdles to the grand e-finale which held on Saturday, April 11, 2020 and was streamed live on the Access The Stars’ Social media channel.

During his audition, Charles who also won Ojaja 11 Talent Hunt in 2018 made the decision to participate in the competition because he was certain he had built enough confidence, and according to him:
“no point in stop pushing if you believe something might happen soon.”
Kitay, Adesewa, and Ada came as 1st runner up, 2nd runner up and 3rd runner up respectively.
The last episode saw Mimi Victor, Olutunz, Gabriel Songz and SlyWonder say goodbye as they were evicted from Bootcamp, leaving Ada Gold, Loven Charles, Firefly and Kitay crossing the finish line to make it into the finals.
Hundreds of music talents auditioned at regionals across six cities.
In each city, the top five contestants performed alongside renowned artists such as Olamide, Wande Coal and Naira Marley at the Access The Stars concert.
Launched in October 2019, Access The Stars is a groundbreaking collaboration between Nigerian Breweries Plc, and Access Bank Plc. The Judges were Darey Art Alade, Tee-Y Mix, and Kaffy.
Only two contestants were selected from each city, with a wildcard online contestant chosen to proceed to boot camp.
Charles Akinloye, popularly known as ‘Loven’, is a multi-talented and prolific singer and songwriter. He is a recording artiste who has a couple of tracks to his credit; one of which is “Adunni” a love song where he displays his commendable songwriting prowess.
Charles charmed his way through the audition stages in Lagos with his unique voice and singing technique of infusing a bit of a fuji to his performances. Apart from his keen interest in music, he is also a makeup artist and a stylist.
The Access The Stars grand finale kicked off with a live pre-show party on Instagram Live which featured hits by DJ Spinall as he entertained the audience in anticipation of the live finale on YouTube.
The much-awaited grand finale show witnessed great performances from the top four contestants, Kaffy and Darey. The show wrapped up with an after-party on Instagram Live hosted by DJ Cuppy.

Following the COVID-19 lockdown in most Nigerian states to restrict social gathering, the producers turned to technology-enabled alternatives to produce the show.
The ‘Access The Stars’ platform was created for exceptional Nigerians in the music industry to be discovered, refined, and empowered to reach higher heights by accessing their star potential.
The project seeks to give budding young talents a chance to perform alongside some of the biggest music stars in the country and it fulfilled that promise.
