Ifan Micheal We Were Born Girls: Nollywood filmmaker and Producer, Ifan Michael is set to direct an upcoming short film based on an LGBT inspired story.

The “Foreigner’s God” producer is set to raise the bar of creative and narrative expression/ storytelling in Nollywood.

According to Pulse, it is confirmed that the director is currently working on the LGBT themed short film which was birthed out of a need to tell a different story and one that most contemporary Nigerians and Africans wouldn’t want to tell.

Partly due to the fact that the LGBT is a community that hasn’t been accepted in Nigeria and Africa, in whole or part.
It is also owing to the fact that it might be a very sensitive subject and the acceptance ratio is unknown.

Ifan is collaborating with the British Council and the British High Deputy Commission on the film that has since begun principal photography.

However, due to the coronavirus outbreak, the ongoing shoot in London has been paused until the health situation across the world returns to status quo.

“We Were Born Girls” is based on the story of a young man who struggles with the puzzling effect of gender and identity crisis.

Ifan Michael caught the attention of film lovers several months ago with the sizzling teaser for his soon to be released mystical film “The Foreigner’s God” starring an ensemble cast including:

Pete Edochie, Eucharia Anunuobi, Nkem Owoh, Nancy Isime, Ini Dima-Okojie, former Big Brother Nigeria housemates Teddy A and Bambam.
